Details Of The Scholarship
KAAD expects the following from prospective candidates:
- Above average performance in studies and research.
- Your studies or research should focus on permanent reintegration in your home region (otherwise, the scholarship becomes a loan).
- Religious and social commitment (activities), as well as a willingness to engage in interreligious dialogue.
- KAAD provides scholarships and educational programs for scholars, as well as spiritual and personal support, to prepare them for future roles in their home country.
This aims to establish (scientific) networks and contribute to a holistic development that includes the religious and interreligious dimensions. It is based on cooperation with partner committees and associations of ex-scholars in those countries.

The KAAD Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students from the Global South who are enrolled in German PhD or Master’s programs.
