John Dumelo walks backwards and barefooted to PRESEC Legon in honour of his promise. He promised that should PRESE Legon win the grand finals of the 2023 NSMQ, he was going to work barefoot and backwards.
The actor, farmer, philanthropist, and politician dared PRESEC to win the 8th title ahead of the finals.
He believed that his Alma Mata, Achimota School, who were in the finals of the 2023 NSMQ, were going to win their third championship.

According to his Tweet, there was no way Presec was going to win when Achimota School is in the competition.
After so much pressure from the public and social media users, John Dumelo had no choice but to honour his words and walk barefoot and backwards from the front of the University of Ghana to Presec Legon.
On October 31st, 2023, John Dumelo walked backwards and barefooted from Ayawaso West to Presec. He also presented 8 crates of fresh eggs from his farm to the headmaster and the NSMQ winners.
I am a man of my words. I will be walking backwards barefoot from the UG main gate to Presec main gate Tomorrow 31st Oct at 4pm. I want to congratulate Presec for winning the #NSMQGrandFinale. I am wholeheartedly proud of my Achimota school and also OWASS. I will walk the talk.
