The 2023 BECE results have finally been released by WAEC Ghana. Now, the talk of the town is, “when will the 2023 BECE candidates go to SHS?”. In this context, I have stated the official GES SHS Academic calendar for 2024/2025.
As the year is coming to an end, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has brought up the official SHS academic calendar for 2024/2025. This will ensure smoothness for all students, teachers, and parents as well.
As of 4th December 2023, all form 1 students, that is all 2023 BECE candidates will start their Senior High School (SHS) journey. The official calendar states it clear that, the first term will start from the 4th of December 2023 and end on the 5th of March 2024 for all first year students.
This will be their first time in Senior High School after their wonderful and prosperous journey in Junior High School.
There would be almost a two months break for all first year students (from 6th March to 12th May 2024). This grace period will allow these first year students to rest and return to continue their academic journey.
The second term, will also begin from the 13th of May 2024 to the 8th of July 2024. During this period, all first year students will now have a broader idea and view about SHS life and how to sail through successfully.
There would be another one month break for all first years from 9th July 2024 to 2nd September 2024. This will allow students to take time to look through their academic progress in SHS.
Also, the third term, which is the final term, will start from the 29th of August 2024 and end on November 15th 2024. This is the final term that will allow all first year students to transition to second year (SHS 2).
